Become a member

Together we are stronger! There are many ways to get involved in HARSO’s activities. Our forms of membership allow you to join as an actual member association as well as, for example, as a support member looking for your own association.

Why join HARSO?

  • We provide rare advice to people with a rare disease or disability, and those close to them.
  • We provide training and webinars on rare topics for members and the general public.
  • We are active in advocacy and legislation.
  • Our working groups allow you to work on rare issues both locally and on diagnosis basis.
  • We train our member associations for rare field experts by experience in collaboration with Kokemustoimijaverkosto.
  • You can network and exchange the latest information at our annual member association meetings.
  • Get up-to-date information from the rare field and reminders about events through our newsletter.
  • You can gain visibility for your association through HARSO’s multi-channel communications.
  • We’ll help you find your own association or help you set up a new association for a specific rare disease.

    Regular member association

    Registered associations can aplly for regular membership.
    If you don’t have your own association, we’ll help you find your own rare disease or disability support group!

    Private supporting member

    If you are not a member of any association and/or want to join us, you can join us as a support member. If necessary, we help rare patients to form a new patient association.

    Supporting member community

    If your community wants to support people with a rare disease or disability but you are not a registered association, you can join us as a support member community.
